We’ve let the team do the talking
As we near the end of another month, we thought it would be a good opportunity to reflect on where MPX is currently at, where we’ve been and what’s ahead in the future.
April has been an exciting month, as it marks a couple of anniversaries for members of our team and saw the addition of another awesome code ninja to our ever-expanding dream team (we’re always on the lookout for amazing platform software developers, if you know someone who might be the perfect fit).
You can probably guess from our previous emails and blogs, we’re extremely proud of the platform we’ve built and the community we’ve built around it, working with some of the UK’s best, rapidly growing businesses from a variety of industries. Those businesses ranging from Refurbished Tech Retailers and Wholesalers, Expert Air Source Heat Pump Installers and Extreme Sports Event Organisers, to name a few; all very different businesses, but all starting from the exact same Business Operating System – MPX.
Rather than explaining what we’ve been up to on this special occasion, we’ve let the team do the talking.

“My first year working at MPX has been amazing and has given me the opportunity to work on some exciting new features. My primary focus has been developing valuable functionality for our heat pump installer clients. A few highlights of recent projects include translating a rate card spreadsheet into a flexible software feature and utilising Google's Maps JavaScript API to create a dynamic map of installer locations. Moving forward, I'm looking forward to integrating a heat loss calculator into the system to help streamline our customers workflow." Russ – Code Ninja
“I've been working on rewriting a new version of MPX (v4) and it is now in testing. While visually very similar to its predecessor, a lot has changed 'under the hood'. Mostly written on the PHP language (used by approximately 80% of all websites in the world) the entire codebase currently stands at approximately half a million lines of code. Recent updates and improvement to the PHP language have required some extensive modifications to the underlying PHP codebase. In conjunction with proposed changes to the hosting package, our clients can look forward to feature and performance improvements. Currently, the new version is in a beta testing phase where each and every feature is now tested to ensure that it continues to perform as expected (or better) prior to future release.” Gavin – Code Optimiser

The next 12 months and beyond is set to be extremely exciting for MPX, as we focus on projects such as absorbing and re-building some external tools directly within our platform, as well as transforming our report building capabilities. We’re also going to be launching our next off-the-shelf product in the coming months; a Resource Management platform with all the existing and awesome benefits of MPX – your very own Business Operating System.
